Opportunities within the Group

Reporting to a Primary or Secondary Education Director, our Regional Directors work directly with a number of schools within a given region.

These positions provide a unique opportunity to support Heads in a variety of contexts in their respective schools. At the same time, you’ll nurture strong support networks across the Group to share expertise and strengthen our collective leadership.

You’ll also work closely with schools to support the development, implementation and evaluation of their strategic plans. You’ll help to improve overall effectiveness, as well as defining and developing projects to support leaders across the Group.

These include building cluster capacity and growth, developing the quality of teaching (particularly mastery) and learning and guiding schools as they prepare for external inspections.

At United Learning, our Executive Headteachers are responsible for a cluster of academies, and line-managing the relevant Heads of School.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Ensuring leadership at all levels directly impacts on strategic school improvement, student outcomes and effective business operation
  • Establishing and implementing the vision and direction of the cluster
  • Embedding United Learning’s ethos and values throughout the schools, ensuring that they really do bring out ‘the best in everyone’
  • Maintaining full and effective collaboration across the cluster of academies
  • Ensuring collaboration translates into real benefits for pupil outcomes, professional development and efficiency savings

As Head of School, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all students leave with the academic results, confidence and life skills to be successful in the future. 

You will establish and implement the vision for the school with your Regional Director, Executive Headteacher and sc to ensure local school improvement plans are implemented and have desired impact..

You will inspire and motivate students, staff, parents and the wider community to ensure your school is the local school of choice.
