I’d like to train as a teacher, where do I start?

United Teaching is our teacher training scheme, and it’s a great place to start your career. Visit unitedteaching.org.uk for more information.

Are there any United Learning schools in my area?

Almost certainly! With more than 70 schools in the Group – and we’re still growing – United Learning schools are spread across England.

Could I earn more at another school or academy?

Will I get any professional development opportunities?

Are benefits offered to every member of staff?

I need to move house to take up a new role – will I be eligible for a remuneration package?

If your role is eligible, then you could receive up to £8,000 to help with relocation costs. This can be put towards the cost of buying or renting a new home, and you will also receive a health care package for your first year of employment. Talk to your recruiting school for more details.

Can I transfer between schools?

We’re always keen for staff to apply for internal roles. All vacancies are advertised on the website here, and on United Hub, our Group intranet, and you can also talk to your line manager to find out about any other opportunities. Click here to search and apply for our current vacancies.

I can’t see a role that matches my criteria – can I apply speculatively?

Do you have any opportunities for staff who aren’t teachers?

Yes, many! We currently have around 7,000 employees, and over 3,500 of those are in education or business support roles, both in schools across the country and our central offices in Peterborough, London and Salford.
